Components
This section describes all hardware components involved in the CIANT AG-Node. The actual setup may differ depending on the version of AccessGrid used. In CIANT we used AccessGrid Toolkit 2.4 during the years 2006 and 2007. Lately we upgraded to the version 3.1.
As a part of the COMEDIA project we expect to connect our electromagnetic motion capture system (MOCAP) and transmit MOCAP data through the multicast network using the AccessGrid framework.

Ground plan of the room
The figure (A) describes actual position of relevant objects in the room. For the projection we use two white-painted walls (6a, 6b). The projection is done by 3 data-projectors (5a, 5b) depicted in the figure (C) in more detail. Projectors are connected to the AG-Display computer (8). The microphone (2) is situated in the front and allows wide-angle sound recording (depicted in the figure D). Recorded sound is transmitted through audio-mixer (3) directly to the AG-AudioVideo computer (8). An important requirement is the echo-cancellation device (Gentner AP-800). This is especially important when the microphone is situated opposite to the speakers (Figure D) which would otherwise cause annoying echo. Due to rather small size of our room only 15 participants could attend the session. We divide our participants into two groups - active and passive. The "active" group is situated around the microphone (2). Number (1) denotes the place of moderator. This configuration also determines the setup of cameras (4a, 4b) (Figure B). Primary camera (4a) is responsible for capturing the moderator with his near neighbours. Secondary camera (4b) captures the rest of the audience. Member of the technical staff occupies the place (8).
